Design Elements
Dontech designs and manufactures optical filters, display, and touchscreen solutions by combining multiple elements including coatings on glass, rigid plastics, or flexible substrates to create the desired optical, physical, and electrical properties. Several different substrates and coatings can be used together to improve the performance of displays and optical assemblies in demanding environments such as sunlight readability, high and low temperature operation, EMI/RFI shielding, and impact resistance.
Key Elements
Our vertically integrated facilities include multi-axis machining, thin and thick film coatings, various lamination systems, and laser cutters. Thin film coatings are vacuum deposited via IAD e-beam evaporation and DC Magnetron sputtering. Secondary operations include automated dry and wet optical bonding, heater busbar fabrication, MIL-Std wire attachment, ATP design, as well as environmental, optical, electrical, and durability testing.
For both build-to-print and custom designs, Dontech engineering and sales teams work closely with customers to provide a variety of optical filter design and fabrication services including substrate selection, optical performance modeling, screen printing, gasketing, and tapes, as well as mechanical configuration and EMI/RFI shielding methodology.
